UK Graduate Route (Post-Study Work Visa)
The UK Graduate Route allows international students who have successfully completed a degree in the
United Kingdom to stay and work, or look for work, for a minimum of 2 years (3 years for PhD holders).
This visa provides a great opportunity to gain UK work experience and build a pathway towards Skilled
Worker Visa or long-term settlement.
The Graduate Route is available to eligible students who have studied at a licensed Higher Education
Provider with a track record of compliance.
ELIGIBILITY FOR GRADUATE ROUTE
- Completed Bachelor's, Master's, or PhD in the UK.
- Studied at a licensed UK Higher Education Provider.
- Valid Student Visa at the time of application.
- Must be physically present in the UK when applying.
- Confirmation of completion from university (not mandatory to have degree certificate at the time
of applying).
DURATION OF THE GRADUATE ROUTE
- 2 Years — For Undergraduate and Postgraduate Students.
- 3 Years — For PhD/Doctoral Students.

- Eligible to work full-time at any skill level.
- Can work in Hospitality, IT, Finance, Healthcare, Engineering, Education, etc.
- Can undertake internships, professional courses, or switch to skilled jobs.
- Not eligible for state benefits or permanent job sponsorship directly under this visa.
PATHWAY TO PR AFTER GRADUATE ROUTE
- Switch to Skilled Worker Visa (Requires Sponsorship).
- Accumulate 5 years of eligible employment to apply for Settlement (ILR).
- Sectors with high sponsorship offer better PR chances — Healthcare, Engineering, IT, Teaching,
Finance.
